I have found that the blame those on the woke alt right really should have for Libertarians, not Conservatives or Classic Liberals. Increasingly, libertarian ideas of freedom drive the push for porn, gambling, homosexuality, abortion. The real irony is that the more the libertarians push for more freedoms, the resulting rights, end up creating corresponding duties in others to defend the new status quo, often "If it isn't hurting anyone, especially me, it is not my business." But, the newer rights and duties end up being institutionalized by an increasingly intrusive government where all of the vices must be regulated, as they are increasingly permitted. For instance, gambling casinos, lotteries, online porn, now sports betting. The latter especially encourages rigging the games. These are not the Christian virtues of traditional Conservatives and Classic Liberals.
So...the kind of freedoms that libertarians want result in a larger more instrusive state with more and more regulations to restrict people for vices that traditional conservatives already avoid, but the society becomes more permissive to exercise these newer rights, especially among the younger generations. "It's good to have a larger more inclusive market for regulated vices, and besides it creates not only more job opportunities but also brings in more regulated tax revenues." The demand for more government regulation results in what I call, The Libertarian Nightmare.
